Case Study
Steven Hewitt
Aged fourteen Steven was sent to Burnley Football Club for trials by PFC Academy Director, Lee Waddington. After a six week period he was signed by the club and since then has never looked back. He has gone onto play for the youth team when still only fifteen years old, played in the prestigious Milk Cup in Ireland and has just been offered a full-time, apprentice/professional contract by Burnley F.C. Whilst doing all this Steven has religiously attended the PFC Academy for further coaching where he has taken his overall game to the next level.
PFC wishes Steven all the best for his future career.
Steven joined PFC as an enthusiastic 6 year old who just loved to run around and play football. In the early stages he participated in fun football orientated games at our Skills Development Centre before his talent started to emerge when he then progressed into the PFC Academy system. For the past five years Steven has attended the PFC Academy (Wilmslow) twice a week, where he developed his game via the unique PFC coach/education method; PFC - Skills Cycle and our series of small-sided games.
