PFC UPDATE: Last updated 08.03.10 14.30
Over the past few months we have become aware of an increase in logistical problems with regards to player movement between groups across the two hours on a Monday and Friday. It has caused problems with attendance numbers, the ability and age levels in certain groups. Our remit is to provide the highest standard of coaching for young players and we feel that at times this has not been the case due to huge numbers of players moving from one group to another.
Therefore, from W/C Monday 22nd March 2010 the skills development groups (all ages) lead by Russell will fall in line with the PFC Academy age groups and time slots, as follows:
1st Hour: 5 to 6pm
· U8 to U11’s (School Yr 3 to Yr 6)
2nd Hour: 6 to 7pm
· U12 to U16’s (School Yr 7 to Yr 11)
Note: in summary – this means there will no longer be 2-hr sessions
We feel that operating as above will allow players to develop better in stable groups, allow coaches to deliver enhanced sessions each week and for the administrative logistics to be managed to a much higher standard. It will also be easier for coaches to profile players and reward those attaining the standard required to move into the full academy.
Standing Order Mandate
With regards to your standing order mandate – if you have a £35.00 S/O in place and only wish for your child to come to a one hour session per week you must reduce this to £27.50, starting in April ’10. However, if you wish your child to attend on both a Monday and Friday for the one-hour sessions you can leave the mandate at its current rate of £35.00.
